FERTILITY ACUPUNCTURE

Natural (Unassisted Cycles):
If you can commit to weekly sessions for 8 weeks, this would be the most optimal. At the very least, an acupuncture session before and after ovulation.
Intrauterine Insemination (IUI):
Acupuncture begins day 1-3 of the IUI cycle to help recruit follicles.
Acupuncture is then repeated every 3-4 days until either the hCG trigger injection or LH surge.
Acupuncture is also recommended 4-8 days post IUI to help with implantation.
In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF):
IVF Fertility acupuncture is very specific to the timeline of transfer and we would like you to get the most out of your appointment.
Acupuncture 1x/week during priming (when your hormones are being suppressed; the cycle before your IVF cycle) OR on day 21 of the cycle before.
Acupuncture 2x/week before a retrieval to help with follicle growth and recruitment.
Acupuncture before the embryo transfer (as close as possible to the transfer).
Acupuncture after the embryo transfer (within 2-5 days, but the closer to the transfer the better).
Acupuncture 1x in the two week wait (optional, to help support the nervous system).
Additional: in cases of a FET (frozen embryo transfer), acupuncture starts on day 1-3 of your cycle, to assist in preparing your endometrial lining for the transfer (1-2 sessions/week).
Investment: $90/session (requires an initial naturopathic assessment if you are not a current patient).
